The voice of the social generation, Alex Partridge is the founder of entertainment news platforms UniLad and LadBible, as well as an established ADHD podcaster and Sunday Times Bestselling Author. With an ever-diversifying portfolio of interests and output, Alex was looking to work on some personal branding and create a one-stop digital portal to capture his personality. He wanted to create a space to shout loudly and proudly about the work he does while fostering an inclusive community.
Having worked with investor and fellow podcaster Steven Bartlett, Alex discovered Silverback® to explore options and take a deep dive to discover a brand narrative and visual identity that was distinctly Alex.
As with all projects we undertake here at Silverback®, we met with Alex to get into the nitty-gritty and uncover as much as we can. Creating a vision, mission, and values document to serve as our roadmap when it comes to all things brand design, as well as tone of voice, to ensure all future copy and comms are on point and authentic to Alex.

We don’t want to say this is the fun bit, but when it comes to design, this is an area where our Troop truly thrives. Based on our discovery sessions with Alex, as well as identifying design inspirations from his portfolio of businesses, it’s safe to say we had plenty of food for thought.
Raising awareness for ADHD and raising Alex’s personal profile to increase his public speaking engagements on the subject of ADHD was a high priority. With a nod to the branding of his hugely successful podcast ADHD Chatter, we used a green palette, black, and white to create a brave, bold, and highly contrasted visual identity.
Central to Alex’s visual identity is the ‘X’, a deliberate graphic device designed to hero his name, personality and point of view. Paired with a strong, modern typeface, the ‘X’ takes the visual lead, confident, unapologetic and built to cut through layouts, anchor content and flex effortlessly across platforms. The result is an instantly recognisable, highly ownable and scalable visual system that acts as a shorthand for Alex Partridge: bold, inclusive and unmistakably him.

Not dissimilar to Alex’s best-selling book, Now It All Makes Sense, once we have the knowledge, we have the clarity to move forward with developing the website. We then start designing out each and every page of the website.
Using existing footage, we create a showreel for the landing page header which immediately informs visitors of who Alex is as well as dynamically showing the range of activities Alex carries out in a typical day.
Information architecture required clear channels to find out about Alex’s endeavours – from podcast host and ADHD advocate to entrepreneur and public speaker, visitors would be able to quickly navigate their way around the site with a smooth user interface that makes the user experience so much more enjoyable, not to mention memorable, and worth revisiting again and again, across all devices.

In true Silverback® style, we’ve delivered another personal brand and website build that is unique to our client, while fulfilling the project’s objectives and needs.
With a new book out next year, Alex now has the perfect platform to direct people to, which we hope will raise even more awareness about ADHD.
